Research

Sustainable Products and Solutions (SPS), managed in conjunction with the UC Berkeley College of Chemistry, is a multi-disciplinary program that promotes a research environment that considers the foundations of sustainability—society, science, engineering, environment, and finance—as it creates new products and solutions.

Our program in Sustainable Finance focuses on creating economic and social value through financial models, products and markets that are sustainable over time. Although a relatively new focus area for the Center, we are building upon a strong foundation of activities:

• The Haas Socially Responsible Investment Fund (HSRIF) seeks to contribute to the field of social investing by defining and exploring new ideas around unlocking hidden value based on companies’ environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices.
• The Moskowitz Prize for Socially Responsible Investing is the first and only global award recognizing outstanding quantitative work on socially responsible investing.

• Corporate Responsibility (CSR) Working Paper Series
  The Center publishes important research through an e-Repository of Corporate Responsibility (CSR) Working Papers authored by faculty, students, and visiting scholars.
• California Management Review
  California Management Review (CMR), a vehicle of communication between academia and business practitioners, is a quarterly journal published by the Haas School of Business featuring articles that are both research-based and address issues of current concern to managers.
