Editorial Student Worker

The Editoral Student Worker will provide blog, research, and editing support to the Program and Marketing Manager of the Center for Responsible Business (CRB). We are seeking a talented writer to contribute a variety of stories on CRB programming and responsible and sustainable business to the blog regularly, and grow our reach and quality of reporting. CRB Human Rights & Business Initiative Student Worker

The CRB Human Rights & Business Initiative Student Worker will work closely alongside the CRB Human Rights and Business Initiative Program Director Marissa Saretsky, this position provides key support to the initiative. Responsibilities include: support and planning for HRBI events such as the Values to Valuation workshop in November, and the Annual Conference on Technology, Human Rights and Business in February; drafting session descriptions, agendas, marketing materials, and researching topics, speakers, and participants; liaising with student groups; participation in small research projects in the area of business and human rights; and other key event management. The position is ideal for a student who is interested in corporate human rights management, has excellent organization and writing, and ability to respect deadlines and work independently. Patagonia Case Competition Student Lead

The Patagonia Case Competition Student Lead will provide logistical support to the CRB staff and the Patagonia team for the development of the 2017-2018 case competition. We are looking for someone who is highly organized and proactive who can work on an ongoing basis from September/October through middle of May 2018. This is a great job for a student who wants to add logistical management to their CV, learn more about the field of sustainable and responsible business, and interact directly with the Patagonia C-Suite. Nordic Sustainability Fellow

The Nordic Sustainability Fellow will work alongside the CRB Executive Director Robert Strand, this position provides key support to the development of a strategy and activities related to Nordic sustainability and CSR interests at Haas and the broader UC-Berkeley community. CRB Student Advisory Board

The CRB Student Advisory Board (SAB) is comprised of eight to Ten representatives from each of the classes of Haas FT MBA students, other MBA programs, Haas undergraduates, and students from other Master's programs (for a total of 16-20 students). First-year representatives are asked to serve a minimum of a one-year term. The SAB works with the Center and fellow students to advise on and help design and implement program structure, content, marketing, and outreach. SAB members will contribute their perspectives to the CRB’s “Redefining Business” blog at least twice / year and may play a strong role in any of the following activities: positioning the CRB to its core stakeholders, provide insight into the infusion of content / sustainability into CRB electives or the core curriculum at Haas, plan and staff CRB events (e.g. events include Patagonia Case Competition, Peterson Speaker Series, Berkeley Sustainable Business & Investment Forum), and/or guide the CRB’s strategic planning process.

Eligibility: First Year MBA students, other Masters Degree students, Haas Undergraduate. You must attend an event where you will learn more about the CRB or speak directly with a current SAB member or CRB Staff.

Type of Position: Advisory

Undergraduate Student Opportunities

General Student Assistant

The General Student Assistants will provide marketing, logistical, and creative support to the CRB staff. Projects include such tasks as designing the layout of a promotional poster, creating and managing a social media campaign, maintaining our website, uploading contacts and managing our Salesforce, creating blog posts or other multimedia content. This is not a traditional office admin position; you will gain marketable skills and experience with the operations of a small organization, as well as working in a team environment. Type of Position: Paid Undergraduate Student Assistant role; $15/hour

Timing and Hours: October 2017 - May 2018, 4-10 hours/week
